BIOGRAPHY
Ainslie's practice focuses on representing and serving his clients in business litigation and transactional matters, and he also provides professional mediation and arbitration services as a neutral decision maker. Ainslie has broad litigation experience and has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict in both jury and non-jury trial cases, as well as numerous arbitration cases across the country. Ainslie also frequently represents clients in contested administrative and regulatory matters. His professional background is built on a unique blend of litigation experience.
Ainslie spent the first six years of his career in the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office, where he successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict. In addition to his state and federal court litigation experience in the Western, Eastern and Northern federal district courts for Oklahoma, as well as multiple federal courts across the country, he has successfully represented clients in numerous arbitration hearings across the country, ranging from construction industry providers and project owners, to multinational financial services corporations, to small broker-dealers, to medical professionals, to private individuals. Statistically, most litigated matters resolve before trial. However, Ainslie's extensive trial experience enables him to provide his clients with a realistic perspective on the particular advantages and challenges his clients will face if their case goes to trial, which many other lawyers simply do not have.
Ainslie received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2000. Prior to attending law school, he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. While in law school, he completed the University of Oxford Summer law program in Oxford, England at The Queen’s College, and worked his way through law school as a licensed legal intern in the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office White Collar Crime Division for the legendary Robert H. Macy. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Macy hired Ainslie as an Assistant District Attorney. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, Ainslie was selected to be a part of the Special Victim's Unit, handling the highest profile and most difficult cases, where he successfully tried numerous SVU cases to jury verdict.
In 2004, Ainslie left the D.A.'s office to join a securities litigation firm in Oklahoma City, where he worked with and represented some of the largest financial institutions in the world, as a member of the firm’s nationwide securities arbitration and employment litigation group. In 2009, he joined the firm of Corbyn Hampton as a partner, where he continued to represent his clients and firm clients in a broad range of litigated matters.
In 2013, after several years of working collaboratively with Michael Crooks to represent various corporate and individual clients, Ainslie and Michael decided they could best serve their clients by joining their practices, which gave rise to the firm that is now Crooks Stanford, PLLC. Ainslie serves as a professional mediator and arbitrator on variety of types of civil litigation matters including but not limited toconstruction, development, securities and business disputes.
Ainslie is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma courts, including the United States Federal District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. Starting in 2010 and in every year since, Martindale-Hubbell (the most respected legal database and lawyer evaluation service in the world) has recognized Ainslie as an "AV Preeminent" rated attorney. That is the highest possible rating available to a lawyer, and is an achievement indicating the judges he appears in front of as well as fellow lawyers rank him at the highest possible level of professional excellence. Additionally, he was named as a "Rising Star" every year from 2007 to 2013 by his fellow lawyers in Super Lawyers Magazine. Beginning in 2014, and in every year since, Ainslie's peers have selected him as a "Super Lawyer" in the areas of construction litigation, business litigation and general civil litigation.
